Come shred the trails with us this summer!

WinSport is the hub for the mountain biking community in greater Calgary, offering lift-accessed riding in the heart of Calgary.

We are excited that the summer season is now underway and are looking forward to a great season. With the exciting renovation of our day lodge expected to begin in the coming weeks, access to the day lodge will be through the Pass Holders' entrance on the west end of the day lodge.

Located on the western edge of the city, the WinSport bike park has a 20+ year history -- even hosting World Cup DH and XC races in the past. Every spring our team works hard to bring the bike park to its best to provide a great experience for all our riders.

This season brings several changes to the WinSport Bike Park that include a new drop-zone (more details on that in the coming days), a change in our up-track (Strawberry Shortcake), and some enhancements to Gromville!

With Strawberry Shortcake becoming the new up-track, there is no technical green trail coming down from the top of the hill, there is only a green flow trail: Muscle Hamster.

2023: A look back

For 2023, we put our focus on continuing to develop a progressive bike park trail system that allows all riders to come and find something to enjoy. From families and beginners to higher-end riders there is something for everyone.

One of the highlights in 2023 was a new drop zone in the west trees off of the Dragon Slayer trail (opening 2024 season). We also added a new return trail from the bottom of the hill to the 88 Express Lift. This included a bridge over the Skyline Luge karting track.

Introducing: Gromville!

The new beginner trail located next to the flag court on the east side of the park was a hub for lessons, easy riding, and getting in some warm-up laps.

Mountain Bike Safety Information

WinSport offers all levels of mountain bike terrain: Gromville trail network is for riders newer to mountain biking and our lift accessible terrain is for intermediate to advanced riders.

Mountain bike parks have a greater potential risk and require different skills than other styles of riding. More challenging trails should not be attempted until the rider has the appropriate skill, experience and equipment. Lift access trails are intended for intermediate to advanced riders. Gromville Day Tickets will be available for the 2024 season.
