WinSport’s School Programs are directly aligned with Alberta Educations Programs of Studies and Safety Guidelines for Physical Activity in Alberta Schools. Our passionate team help children develop a lifelong passion for sport and play through our programming and world class facilities.

Ski and Snowboard Lessons
Our Ski and Snowboard Program provides expert-led instruction in small group sizes from arrival to departure. Our program is nearly a full day experience when considering bus arrival, equipment fitting, lunch, and departure.

Program Changes
We have adjusted our lesson times to align with industry best practices of two-hour lessons. This change was made to reduce athlete injury rates, which tend to increase during lessons longer than two hours (particularly for new skiers). We found this was a successful change with a significant reduction in participant injuries this past season.

When is the program available?

Monday through Thursdays, from November 25, 2024 to March 27, 2025.

Fridays:

• December 6, 13,and 20
• January 10, 17, 24
• February 7, 21
• March 7, 14

What are the bus arrival and departure times?

Buses may arrive at 9:15, 9:45, 10:15, 10:45 or 11:00 am. Buses may depart between 1:15 and 3:00 pm (some flexibility is available)

*Please note, schools are responsible for arranging bus transportation

What's the total program length?

The program lasts approximately four hours. 

How much of that is spent on snow?

A minimum of 2 hours will be spent on snow

Which grades is this program available to?

This program is available for grades 1-12. 

How many students can you accommodate?

The minimum is 30 students; the maximum is 150 (per arrival time). Maximum of 275 students per day. The following dates will have a reduced daily capacity of 150: November 25-28, March 24-27, and all available Fridays.

What is the price for this program?

$50 per student per day, which includes: 

• Instruction during the lesson
• Hill ticket during the lesson
• Equipment rentals during the lesson 
• This is a substantial savings from a typical youth lesson, which runs at a starting price of $120 and does not include rentals.
