Ages 9 - 11
Immerse your 9-11-year-old in thrilling mountain biking with our Berm Bandits camps, spanning beginner (Level 1) to strong advance (Level 6). Accessing our WinSport trail network, explore the nearby Paskapoo slopes in our offsite activities, and our exclusive Skills Centre, campers progress under experienced instructor guidance. In a dynamic and fun learning environment, they conquer new terrain, refine techniques, and build camaraderie.
All groups will be organized by level and are taught to the lowest riding level in each group. Based on registration numbers groups may have to be combined.

TERMS OF CONTRACT
IMPORTANT – WAIVERS REQUIRED
A Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement ("Waiver") must be completed prior to participation in WinSport’s Programs, Lessons, and Camps and, if applicable, rental of Equipment. If the applicable Waiver is not completed, participation in the WinSport Program, access to WinSport’s facilities and/or rental of Equipment will not be permitted, and a refund will be provided.
The Waiver will be available for completion during the sales process, and a copy is available for preview below.
- Each adult participant must complete their own Waiver
- A Parent/guardian must complete the Waiver for their minor/child participant
PLEASE READ THE WAIVER CAREFULLY! By signing, you will waive or give up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for negligence, breach of contract, or breach of the Occupiers’ Liability Act or claim compensation following an accident.

Explore the basics of mountain biking such as braking, body position, and turning to explore your first mountain bike trails. Our coaches will build your confidence to practice new skills on new trails.
Expected trails and features
Level 1 groups will start the week on Green trails such as Gromville, Green Freeride 1, and Green XC Loop, progressing too more difficult Green trails such as Strawberry Shortcake, and Gnarnia, accessing both freeride and technical terrain and features requiring jump skills.
Pre-requisites
- Comfortable riding on pavement and wide gravels but has never mountain biked before
- Comfortable maintaining balance and using front and back breaks
- Little to no previous experience on any mountain bike terrain
Key Goals
- Learn basic skills such as body positioning, gearing, and breaking
- Gain confidence stopping, steering, and changing direction
- Progress from primarily pavement-based terrain to Green mountain bike trails
Equipment Required
- Front and rear brakes required
- Front suspension required
- Minimum Helmet Requirement: Half-shell [full face helmet to be worn on downhill trails if brought to camp by participant]
Progress your basic skills onto your first Blue Trails, riding with more fluidity and control. Our coaches will begin introducing more techniques and trails to your learning.
Expected trails and features
Level 2 groups will start the week on Green trails such as Gromville, Muscle Hamster, and Strawberry Shortcake, progressing too blue trails such as Toads Salami, and Tender Vittles, accessing both freeride and technical terrain and features requiring jump skills. This group will aim to access the chair lift on Thursday, or the fourth day of the program
Pre-requisites
- Comfortable riding on some Green terrain
- Confident riding on bumpy, rocky, and root covered
- Sections of trails without putting a foot down
- Little to no previous experience on Blue trails and capable of riding cross a 5 km cross country loop
Key Goals
- Continue progressing your basic skills on more technical terrain
- Improve cornering, body position, and steering to ride more fluidly
- Progress from Green Mountain bike trails to easy Blue ones
Equipment Requirements
- Front and rear disk brakes recommended
- Front suspension required
- Minimum Helmet Requirement: Half-shell [full face helmet to be worn on downhill trails if brought to camp by participant]
Learn the fundamental skills required to take on drops, jumps, and lift accessible blue terrain. Our coaches will train riding with more technique to continue expanding the number and difficulty of the trails you can ride.
Expected trails and features
Level 3 groups will start the week on Green and Blue trails such as Muscle Hamster, Toads Salami, Tender Vittles, and Squirrely Dan, progressing too more difficult blue trails such as Panda-Monium, BBQ Jello, and Blue Freeride trails, accessing both freeride and technical terrain and features requiring jump skills. This group will aim to access the chair lift on Wednesday, or the third day of the program
Pre-requisites
- Comfortable riding on most Green terrain
- Experienced shifting gears, riding both up hill and downhill, and on rocky, rooted, and bumpy terrain
- Little to no previous experience on lift accessed terrain and capable of riding cross a 7-9 km cross country loop
Key Goals
- Further develop your basic skills to improve your speed on trails
- Learn the basics of drops, jumps, and line selection
- Expand the number of Green and Blue trails you can comfortably ride
Equipment Requirements

- Front suspension required
- Minimum Helmet Requirement: Half-shell [full face helmet to be worn on downhill trails if brought to camp by participant]
- Knee & elbow pads recommended
Increase your riding at speed on technical trails, including your first Black Trail. Coaches will focus on refining your skills to ride faster, more fluidly and with more confidence.
Expected trails and features
Level 4 groups will start the week on Blue trails such as Tender Vittles, BBQ Jello, and dragon slayer, progressing too more difficult blue trails such as dragon slayer, double jeopardy, and safari, accessing both freeride and technical terrain and features requiring jump skills. This group will aim to access the chair lift on Tuesdays, or the second day of the program
Pre-requisites
- Comfortable riding on Blue Trails
- Confident riding at moderate and safe speed while carry momentum on trail
- Moderate experience on lift accessed terrain and capable of riding cross a 9-11 km cross country loop
Key Goals
- Develop your skills to experience larger drops, jumps, and more technical trails at a safe speed
- Progress your skills, line selection, body positioning, and cornering to access Black Terrain
- Complete all Blue trails and progress to Black Terrain

- Front suspension required
- Minimum Helmet Requirement: Half-shell [full face helmet recommended to be worn on downhill trails if brought to camp by participant]
- Knee & elbow pads recommended
Conquer advanced terrain including jumps, drops, and Black trails with speed and confidence. Coaches will focus on skill proficiency and athletes feedback progress your riding to allow for bigger jump, drops, and trail speeds.
Expected trails and features
Level 5 groups will start the week on Blue trails such as panda-monium, safari, double jeopardy, progressing too black trails such as Lazer fade and haircut rabbit, accessing both freeride and technical terrain and features requiring jump skills. This group will aim to access the chair lift on Tuesdays, or the second day of the program.
Pre-requisites
- Comfortable riding on most Blue terrain, looking to get on Black terrain
- Confident picking a line and riding difficult technical trail sections, steep terrain, narrow pathways, moderate drops, and 5-7ft jumps
- Highly experienced on lift accessed terrain and capable riding cross a 12-15km cross country loop
Key Goals
- Jump higher, drop bigger, ride with greater speed, control and fluidity
- Develop strong technique and technical skills to unlock the entire bike park
- Ride every trails available including our most Advanced terrain

- Front suspension required
- Rear suspension recommended
- Dropper post recommended
- Half-Shell and Full-Face helmet required [full-face helmet to be worn on downhill trails]
- Knee pads strongly recommended

Expected trails and features
Level 6 groups will start the week on Blue trails such as panda-monium, safari, double jeopardy, and blue freeride trails, and quickly progress to black trails such as Lazer fade and haircut rabbit, accessing both freeride and technical terrain and features requiring jump skills. This group will aim to access the chair lift on Tuesdays, or the second day of the program
Pre-requisites
- Comfortable riding on some Black terrain
- Confident riding at high speeds, and capable of riding all features on all Black terrain
- Capable of clearing medium drops and jumps 12-15ft jumps with proper technique
- Frequently rides lift accessed terrain and capable riding cross a 15-20km cross country loop
Key Goals
- Perfect your technique to ride the most difficult terrain at the highest level and speed
- Master your skills and take your fitness to the next level with our most experienced coaches
- Ride every trail confidently, with the highest levels of speed, flow, and control
